Apparel Fit Guide

How to Measure Yourself

For the most accurate fit, use a soft measuring tape and measure over bare skin or lightweight undergarments. Have a friend help if possible, and keep the tape parallel to the floor.

  • Bust: Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your chest, keeping it level across your back. Do not pull tight — the tape should lie flat without compressing.
  • Waist: Measure around your natural waist, which is the narrowest part of your torso, typically 1–2 inches above your belly button.
  • Hips: Stand with your feet together and measure around the fullest part of your hips and seat, usually about 7–9 inches below your natural waist.
  • Garment Length: For tops and dresses, measure from the highest point of the shoulder (near the neck) straight down to the hem. For bottoms, measure from the waistband to the hem along the outseam.

Stretch & Fabric Notes

Fabric content affects how a garment fits and feels. Look for these notes on individual product pages:

  • No stretch: Woven fabrics like cotton poplin, linen, and denim have little to no give. Size up if you are between sizes or prefer a relaxed fit.
  • Moderate stretch: Fabrics with a small percentage of elastane (spandex) offer gentle give and return to shape. These styles tend to be forgiving across sizes.
  • Full stretch: Ribbed knits and jersey fabrics with higher elastane content conform closely to the body. These styles often fit a wider range of measurements.
  • Opacity: Lighter colors and thinner fabrics may be semi-sheer. Where noted on the product page, we recommend layering or wearing seamless undergarments.

Fit Model Reference

When a model is shown in product photos, their measurements are listed in the product description where available. Model sizing context is intended to help you visualize the fit and proportion of the garment — your own proportions may result in a different look, which is perfectly normal.

A Note on Sizing Across Suppliers

Sizing can vary by supplier and style. A size Medium from one brand or collection may fit differently than a size Medium from another. We recommend checking the specific measurements listed on each product page rather than relying solely on the size label. When in doubt, sizing up is usually the safer choice for comfort.
